Do you know there is more than one way to use essential oils?

As promised, this site is for ALL Oilers! It doesn't matter if you have been using essential oils for 20+ years and you have the best oil collections at home, or you just received your very first Tea Tree essential oil from your best friend, this is a place for us to share our positive energy about oils!

As a host, I cannot care less for those of you who just started your oil journey (Congratulations!) and are learning from the very beginning. If you have been using oils for quite some time, although there are a few ways of using oils, have you noticed that you tend to use yours in one way more often than the others? Is that because that's the most convenient way to you? Or sometimes you just forget there is a more effective way to use?

In general, there are three ways to use essential oils.

1. Topically - Direct Application

When an oil is applied to the areas of the body that need support, it takes about 25 seconds to get to your bloodstream. Follow the label on your oil bottle for usage and dilution. For myself, I love to dilute my oils with coconut oil or other vegetable carrier oils like V6 Complex for better coverage and avoid skin sensitivity.

Bottoms of the feet are a great place to apply oils topically because of the large pores. You can also apply to other easy-absorbing areas like behind the ears, inner forearms, and wrists.

A little goes a long way. 1 to 2 drops of essential oils in each application is enough in most cases.

2. Aromatically - Inhalations

Tests have shown essential oils reach some of the major organs or glands in a few seconds when inhaled.

Put a drop of essential oil in your palms, cup them to your nose and inhale deeply. This is one of the simplest and most powerful ways of using the oils.

A more relaxing way is diffusing. I strongly recommend you to have a quiet ultrasonic diffuser at home. This breaks up the oils into micro-fine cool mist that is then dispersed into the air for you to breathe in. A great home diffuser can provide you 4 hours or longer of relaxation.

When I am on the go, #LotusOne diffuser fan is my best travel buddy. I can easily fit it into my gym bag, purse, or pocket. I not only get to be surrounded with my favorite aroma all the time, I get compliments about its lovely design and the positive energies brought to the area.

3. Internally - Ingestion

Important: Never assume it is okay to ingest any brand of essential oils. The label on the bottle should clearly state if it is safe for internal consumption. Please consult your health physician before taking it if you have a health condition, are taking medication, are pregnant or nursing.

Using capsule or drink with water are some of the ways to ingest essential oils. Adding a drop of Lemon Vitality or Peppermint Vitality to my water makes me feel enjoyable to finish the daily recommended amount.

My daughter's music teacher had tried putting a drop of Basil Vitality into his pesto sauce. I still remember how satisfying he was as it tasted so good and it's so convenient!

Have you tried all three different ways of using your oils? Which one is your favorite?
